Based in Austin, TX, Corey Crumpacker works nationally as a non-exclusive freelance Director and Editor creating narrative and commercial content.
Let’s not shy away from the fact that Corey Crumpacker has been around.
In addition to an ever-evolving directing and editing career, Corey won the local Tallahassee, FL pinewood derby at Killearn Lakes Elementary in the summer of 2003. He also once talked Jordan Love through a Madden Christmas commercial while getting roasted by Derwin James, and recently coaxed Stavros Halkias into an oversized fairy skirt for a fitness ad. He’s spent a suspicious amount of time learning virtual production to the point where he was forced to speak about it at NAB.
Corey wrote, directed and edited a very personal film about his younger brother’s triumphant fight with cancer that convinced someone to let him direct a 13 episode season of live-action children’s show Gus Plus Us, which simultaneously made him want and not want children. Along the way he shot some spec work with his friends that tricked people into hiring him to direct ads for Capital One, KFC and Empress Gin. In addition to downplaying how much he loves his career, making music, and playing shows with his band, Corey has enjoyed being on college football’s most confusing roller coaster as an FSU fan.
As a third party writing this on Corey’s behalf, he has my full endorsement for [insert bid title here] and is obviously the right guy for the job.
Clients include Capital One, EA Sports, Madden, KFC, Empress Gin, Ladder and more (but these are the coolest).
